Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve always been a dog lover. I would choose a dog over people every time! Several years ago, two large dogs wandered into my yard. Big, beautiful, soft, black dogs. Turns out, one was a standard goldendoodle, and the other was a standard poodle. They were so sweet, gentle and lovable! And when their owner showed up to get them, we chatted a while about the goldendoodle’s temperament. I was in love! I decided right then and there I had to have a goldendoodle! But not only that, I wanted everyone else to have one, too!

A lot of my family members are neurodivergent. Including me! I feel like the neurodivergent brain is the best kind! But we need dogs. Sometimes as service animals, but sometimes just as a best friend. When I decided I wanted to breed, my autistic son and I decided we wanted to donate a puppy per litter to a person with a disability. Well, a puppy per litter kind of melded into approximately one out of every 10 puppies born to us, and they have all gone to children. That makes us so happy!

Nowadays, I seek to improve my lines to produce the best we can! And our donated dogs, they don’t take a back seat to the ones that sell! They’re usually given first priority! And that makes us happy, too!

We are always happy to take back one of our puppies! We have a return policy / rehoming assistance program in place to ensure that our puppies find suitable homes, even if circumstances change.

We start crate and house training on our puppies so that when they are ready to go to their forever homes, they will have an easy transition.

Our “facility” is our home. All our puppies are raised here and cared for by our family. Our top priority is keeping our family and beloved pups safe. Serious germs can be brought in on shoes and clothing and could quickly affect our pups in a very negative way, possibly even resulting in death. Therefore, we currently only allow visits from those on our waiting list who are coming on scheduled visitation days or to pick up their new puppy. Many of our dogs live in guardian homes, therefore, they aren’t always at our home to be seen.

Our mama dogs may or may not be available to be seen when coming to pick up your puppy at 8 weeks. Mama dogs have in most cases already gone home by the time your puppy is to be picked up. Visits may be scheduled to see your chosen puppy after that specific litter has received their first set of vaccinations.

For the safety of our dogs and young puppies as well as our family, we do not allow tours of our home or whelping areas.

Technically, no dog is “hypoallergenic” as some people can be allergic to things other than fur like a dog’s saliva or urine. Doodles have allergy friendly properties, making them suitable for individuals who suffer from mild to moderate pet allergies. If you or someone in your home has severe allergies we recommend spending time with different types of adult Doodles before deciding to get on our waiting list. Head to your local dog park and strike up some conversation with fellow Doodle owners and ask if you can interact with their dog.

Our doodles are generally low to non-shedding. The amount of shedding will depend greatly on generation and breed. F1Bs, F2Bs, and Multigens will shed less (if any) than an F1 and are recommended for those with allergies/concerns about excessive shedding. It is not likely that you will find much hair in your house or on your clothes, but doodle dust bunnies are common on the floors every now and then. Loose/dead hair will come off on your comb when you brush your Doodle just like with people who have a head full of hair.

Generally, our Bernedoodles, Goldendoodles and Sheepadoodles are recommended for those who are looking for a fairly active dog that, when given the appropriate exercise, will also make the perfect snuggle bug. Please keep in mind energy levels will vary and will depend on your puppy or that pairing.

Sheepadoodle: Old English Sheepdog & Poodle hybrid- Playful and energetic, Intelligent and trainable, Good with children and other pets, often silly and goofy

Bernedoodle: Bernese Mountain Dog & Poodle hybrid- Affectionate and loving, playful, goofy, intelligent and trainable, loyal and protective, social, gentle, adaptable, energetic, sensitive and responsive to owners’ emotions, tend to stubborness

Goldendoodle: Golden Retriever & Poodle hybrid – Friendly and affectionate, highly social, intelligent and trainable, quick learners, playful and energetic, exuberant, adaptable, good with children and other pets, gentle, prone to separation anxiety if left for extended periods.
